*Knitting/ Crocheting Night Returns*The First Wednesday each Month, 6:30-8:30pm**We are MOVING the Knitting/ Crochet Night to Nix Grill across the street from the Boutique. Now feel free to have dinner &/ or a drink while you create & socialize! Bring your projects, supplies & enjoy yourself while chatting & learning with fellow yarn lovers. Join us as your schedule allows, it's up to you. I'm hoping to align this group with a Becker Charity- to create items for donating, any ideas please let me know. The 2011 Becker Farmers Market was a success and we thank everyone for supporting it. It's great to have people in the Downtown area again. We are already planning details for next year! We would LOVE to have area volenteers to help the market, it helps build a better community for eveyone!We are also looking for area Fundraising groups to join us. These goups can set up a table and hand out information and sell item for your group, etc. Crafters are wanted too!Please contact me to get involved or know of a group to participate. Further Information below for Artists and Apparel Consignment- Artist/Crafter Consignment Information-Delightful Day Boutique is looking for unique, high-quality handcrafted goods. We are particularly looking for local Minnesota artists but also to carry work from artists across the county. We want to provide a place for artist sell their works of art and to share their passion with others. Here are some of our terms and guidelines-We are open to a variety of art to carry but strive for artwork such as, children’s toys, games, decorations, and apparel. For adults we are also looking for fun, unique items for wearing, using, decorating or amusing. We know how hard it is for struggling artist to make a living with their work so we want to be fair with our consignment payments. We offer a 30% / 70% split, meaning the artist/crafter will get 70% of their determined retail price. If you would like to be apart of our boutique here are few ways to begin-1.Send us an email with the following information to info_delightfuldayboutique.com *This can be done by mail as well be email is preferredPease include Contact information- Name, Email, Phone, and Address.Photographs of you work in JPEG format in a reasonable size for opening, this may also be you website, blog or online store such as etsy.com.Please include detailed descriptions of your work including sizes, colors and prices.Please tell us a little about yourself and your work.ORBecause we are quite small, walk-ins are currently welcome. This may change as we grow. 2. Once we get your information we will contact you letting you know if we feel your items are a match for our boutique.3. If we feel that your craft is a match for our boutique we will email or give you a consignment contract to fill out and sign. We also ask that you fill out an Inventory List Form. We provide this with the contract or can be picked up at the boutique. This will accompany your items. It is also recommended but not necessary to include some information about you/ your company/ art/ craft such as Hangtag, Fliers, Business Card, small Sign or Display. Please know that Delightful Day Boutique has the right to reject any items if necessary. Remember the different seasons are important and will be a factor in our decision to consign your items. Also, because the boutique itself is small we can only hold a limited amount of merchandise so if you don’t accept your items currently we may once space opens up. We like to keep our items fresh and ever-changing so we will keep your information on file to rotate into the boutique. Currently we do not offer a Buy-Out Option. We may begin this option at a future date as our business grows. This option will pay 50% of the retail amount to the artist outright. Items then become property of the Delightful Day Boutique and subject to appropriate pricing.Packaging and shipping charges, packaging supplies, mail insurance costs and other handling expenses incurred in the delivery and return of your artwork is the responsibility of the Artist/ Crafter.Payment will be made the 1 of every month if payment is equal to or greater than $20. Amounts under $20 will rollover to the next month. Item pricing will be determined by the artist. Artist/ Crafters will receive 70% and Delightful Day Boutique will receive 30% of the retail price determined by the consignor (artist). Check may be picked up at the store or mail to you. Please include a self addressed envelope with your inventory OR $1 may be subtracted from you payment for mail payment checks. Your payment will include a list of the inventory that has sold. Any additional updates on inventory will be made upon artist request. The term of the contract equal 6 months and begin at the time of receiving the artist signed contract. This contract automatically renews itself until one of us chooses to opt out. In other words, Delightful Day Boutique reserves the right to either A) keep the artist’s unsold merchandise on consignment for additional 6 months or B) return any unsold merchandise to the artist. Delightful Day Boutique has the right to remove the artist work for whatever reason we elect necessary. Option to change out items because of season, demand, style, or sizing can be done at the season’s end. If this event occurs Delightful Day will notify the artist before removal. We will do our part to promote, display and sell you artwork. Delightful Day Boutique reserve the right to make modifications to the retail price based on the market demand and other factors. We will notify the artist before making price changes. Delightful Day Boutique will make every attempt to maintain all items in sellable condition. However, unexpected and destructive circumstances do arise. In this event, the artist will be paid the store’s share of the profit for the items damaged. Additionally, consignment is owned by the artist and cannot be taken by creditors in the event of store bankruptcy. Delightful Day Boutique will not provide insurance for any artwork regardless of the price or nature of work. Insurance is the sole responsibility of the artist. Delightful Day Boutique is responsible for all Minnesota State Sales Tax on the behalf of the artist for work sold at Delightful Day Boutique. It is your (the Artist/ Crafter) responsibility to file your income taxes. We look forward to working with you and your works of art!CLOTHING- Consignment Terms and Guidelines:We accept gently used Designer/Name Brand, Specialty/ Department Store Clothing for Children and Maternity in excellent condition. Items must be clean freshly laundered and pressed. Items must be fashionable and no more than 5 years old. Items with stains, tears, missing buttons, stretching or damage will not be accepted. Please bring in your items in a tote bin, box, laundry basket, etc. NOT IN BAGS. Thanks you.Shoes are accepted and MUST be in new or excellent condition. No scuffs and missing laces. Purse, Handbags and Diaper Bags are accepted and must be in perfect condition. If you are shipping your consignment items please enclose your name, address, phone number and EMAIL in each box, along with your signed contract. Items that are discovered to be damaged or flawed after initial inspection and acceptance may either, be returned to you, sold at a discounted rate or donated to charity. Sizes include Newborn to 16 and all sizes in Maternity. Items can be brought in throughout the season, your consignment period will be shorter the closer it is to the end of each season. Contracts run in two seasons Spring/Summer (March-August) and Fall/Winter (September-February) ***(see blow) Clothing will receive 45% of the selling price or 55% Store Credit. Percentage is based off the selling price. Prices are determined by the store Associate whom will strive for full market value of resale clothing for the area. If you have a suggested price for your item please print (or pick up) and fill out our Inventory List Form, to be dropped off with you items. We will do our best to match you suggested prices. We reserve the right to mark prices down at out discretion without prior notice to the consignor. We will issues payment on the 1 of each month if sales are equal to or greater than $20. Payments must be requested as they are not automatically printed until the end of each season. Checks can be sent by mail for a $1 fee OR by including a self addressed stamped envelope. Payments may also be made to you on a walk-in basis if sales are greater than $20 although store credit can be used at any time. Feel free to contact us for you totals. At the end of the season’s contract; Spring/Summer (March-August) or Fall/Winter (September-February), unsold items can either be picked up or will become property of Delightful Day Boutique. If you chose leave your items with us at the end of the season, and if our inventory is full, we will donate items to charity. It is your responsibility to pick up your items before the expiration date at the end of the season. We will do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not liable for fire, theft or damage. Delightful Day Boutique is a clothing broker and cannot insure inventory we do not own. We are careful and trustworthy although all merchandise left at Delightful Day Boutique is your own risk. Currently, Items from Target, Old Navy and Outlets are considered on inspection but generally will not be accepted. It is difficult to compete with these huge box chain retailers, especially with consignment. When you shop our boutique we want you to find special and creative items. At this time we are not consigning children’s items such as furniture, toys, car seats, bouncers, beds, bottles, gates, High Chairs, etc.Markdowns and Sales Events- Depending on the quantity of inventory at the end of each season, we may have a sale to clear thing out. This sale will be determined individually. To stay updated please join the email newsletter. Currently, you may Walk-in with your items to consign, *Wednesday to Friday 11am to 6pm and Saturday 10am -5pm, we will examine and select your items while you wait. If you have more than 25 items you may want to contact us for an appointment to cut down on your waiting time.* To make the process faster for everyone please print, and fill out our contract and inventory forms and bring with your items to consign.***Buying Option will be available after a few months of being in business; we need take one step at a time to begin business. Once we start the “Buying” option we will accept out of season items all year long. This will require us to be very selective on what we purchase. We will offer you 10-15% of what can sell the items for. If we purchase your items sales are final. If items are consigned and you change your mind about having them in our boutique you may pick up your items any time DURING the season. At the end of each season if you do not chose to pick up your items they will become the property of Delightful Day Boutique. At this time, if our inventory is full, we will donate items to charity.
